About the Founder
Shubhda Kaushik
Shubhda Kaushik brings together 15+ years of global experience across project finance, strategy consulting, and project development, starting her professional journey in 2009 with Reliance Energy in India.
She has structured multi-billion-dollar non-recourse deals, advised governments and corporates on decarbonisation strategies, and worked in strategy & advisory roles for Power, Shipping and Green Molecules companies.
She combines financial acumen, strategic problem-solving, and hands-on delivery to design robust financing structures, de-risk projects, and craft investor-ready stories that unlock capital.
Because ultimately, the energy transition depends not just on bold ideas — but on making those ideas investable.
Shubhda's experience sits at the intersection of capital, strategy, and energy transition - with experience in project finance (SCB, Reliance), consulting (McKinsey, Bain, Maersk), and project management (Power2X), she has worked with investors, governments, and Fortune 500s to unlock growth in renewables and clean molecules across geographies.
Educated as a Civil Engineer at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-BHU), Varanasi and in management at XLRI, with CFA training, she brings a global, multi-disciplinary lens to every project — always focused on one outcome: building energy transition projects that don’t just inspire, but get built. Shubhda has won "Academic Excellence Award" and "Merit Scholarships" in CBSE Board Examinations while cracking IIT JEE, one of the toughest entrance exams in the world, clearly showcasing a combination of brilliance & hardwork from early years.

I spent the last 15 years moving across India, Southeast Asia, the Nordics, and the UK — from developing thermal power projects at Reliance Infrastructure, structuring renewable finance deals at Standard Chartered, to shaping strategy at McKinsey, Bain, and Maersk, to developing & due-diligencing green molecules projects at Power2X.
Along the way, I saw the same pattern repeat: visionary projects stall at the bankability hurdle. My passion lies in bridging that gap. I believe this is the decisive decade for energy transition, and the only way to deliver at scale is to combine sharp strategic thinking, rigorous finance, and deep systems understanding.
That conviction is why I founded Alternative Energy Company (AEC) — to help developers, investors, and corporates turn ambition into investable reality.
